Numerous communal activities and parochial church council meetings have, by the generosity of a town resident, taken place in a room which will not be available into the indefinite future. This very large and beautiful church has space which is only occasionally fully utilised and it is felt that the church and community could gain very worthwhile benefits from a new, comfortable, replacement meeting room within the South Transept of the church. These benefits are aimed particularly towards younger age groups which may be inspired by carefully chosen, nonsectarian, cultural and educational activities within a unique environment.

An intensive approach for funding is about to be made to a range of organisations and it is hoped that this will meet with success.
